iConnect welcomes you to the first-of-its-kind Uganda-Pacific North West ‘Sustainable Development’ Symposium (UPNWS) April 9-13th, 2018. Hosted by Ugandan-American professionals and United States counterparts in Washington State. It will take place at the Four Points by Sheraton Seattle Airport South Hotel, 22406 Pacific Highway South, Des Moines, WA 98198.
Theme: Turning challenges into opportunities without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their needs (sustainable development).



Goal
The goal of the symposium is to build capacity and initiate trade partnerships for selected Ugandan Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) to improve agricultural productivity, agro-processing, entrepreneurship and agro-industry innovation, tourism, ICT business processes, mining and minerals development, sollar energy development and more … with similar companies or enterprises in Washington State (SMEs owned by Youth and Women enterprises and of higher priority).
The symposium aims to help achieve Uganda’s Vision 2040, with the following primary objectives:
- Create a stable environment for the private sector to thrive through security, transport, energy, water, health and education.
- Promote industrialization and job creation for inclusive growth.
